Our Story

An engineer’s ambition. A family’s next chapter.

Abdalla Elnaggar’s story began with a passion for mechanics and an ambition to build something of his own. A mechanical engineering graduate from an ordinary Egyptian family, he had an idea, the conviction to pursue it, and the determination to bring others on board. In 1989, he founded Omega for Electromechanical with partners who shared that initial vision.

Building the company demanded patience and persistence. One observer likened his efforts to carving through rock with a needle. Over the years, as partners moved on, Abdalla remained committed, devoting much of his working life to the business he had helped create.

In 2025, he faced an unexpected turning point after nearly four decades devoted to Omega for Electromechanical. At 70, retirement might have seemed the natural next step. But he still had ideas he wanted to bring to life, and the determination to build again.

With his four daughters beside him, he began a new chapter through two separate companies: Omega Arab, continuing his work in low-voltage panel manufacturing and electromechanical contracting, and OPIC, bringing electrical inventory to buyers worldwide. Today, he chairs both companies, with all four daughters serving on their boards.
